FES Flower Essences

Explorer's Gentian (FES Range of Light)

Like Bach's Gentian, the Explorer's Gentian addresses an element of faith in the soul. It imparts an uplifting quality, drawing life from the spirit world. It gives strength and vigor to continue on our destiny path and not be weighed down by the duties and responsibilities of the material world. The soul who needs the Explorer's Gentian is often in mid-life crisis and overcome with world-weariness. There is a longing to return to the pure blue celestial realms of heaven, for life on earth seems too hard. However, neither the youthful memory of the spiritual world, nor the certain resolution of old age and reunion with the spiritual world give comfort to the soul. The source of strength for the Explorer's Gentian is not so much a rallying of one's inner forces, but a re-connection with the spiritual world, and especially one's sense of purpose for the incarnation. This connection gives tangible strength and energy. This flower essence can also be indicated for the "late bloomer" who must rally youthful forces in the later stages of life when others are planning their retirement. This flower brings rejuvenation when one feels depleted, discouraged, or weary of the struggle; yet still has much to do. The Explorer's Gentian fills the soul with the knowledge that one's life on earth is intricately related to the Cosmos. It can also help when one feels overcome by materialism, and the soul no longer sees itself as a worthy container for spirit. Unable to feel spiritual inspiration, the soul longs to give up. In this sense it is related to Bach's Gentian, and deals with a certain type of melancholia in the soul. But this one is much more specific to a spiritual crisis in the personality, and much more for a certain life phase than Bach's Gentian.
